Kim Gwang-yeol, Yeongdeok County Governor, Visits Women's Organization Volunteer Site for 'Open Communication'
3rd 'On-site Communication Day' Operation
Reflecting Opinions from Various Sectors and Classes in Military Administration
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the 'On-site Communication Day' event on the 10th by visiting the Yeongdeok-gun Women's Association, which is conducting volunteer activities in Chuksan-myeon.
'On-site Communication Day' is a project to realize 'Heart-sharing Communication Administration,' one of the five major administrative goals of the 8th term under Mayor Kim Gwang-yeol's pledge. It was established to actively reflect the vivid voices of various sectors and classes on-site into the county administration, thereby expanding opportunities for citizen participation and implementing democratic autonomous administration.

In February, he met with representatives of companies located in the agricultural and industrial complex to gather management difficulties and suggestions, and in March, he met with local beekeepers who recently experienced a mass death of honeybees to discuss practical support measures.
At the third 'On-site Communication Day' event, Mayor Kim personally participated in volunteer work alongside about 20 members of the Yeongdeok-gun Women's Association, who were making doenjang (fermented soybean paste) to support vulnerable groups, listening attentively to the opinions of local women leaders.
At this meeting, the association members requested support for activities for vulnerable groups, such as expanding senior citizen banquets and side dish support projects using local agricultural products. Mayor Kim instructed the relevant department officials on-site to review support measures.
The Yeongdeok-gun Women's Association (President Kang Pil-yeo) has been washing meju (fermented soybean blocks) since February to make jang (fermented paste) and plans to distribute about 250 containers in November to each senior center.
