DA Technology Ships Jet Stacking Equipment for Hyundai Motor-LG Energy Solution Indonesia
DA Technology, a specialized manufacturer of secondary battery equipment, announced on the 11th that it has started shipping jet stacking equipment to the Hyundai Motor-LG Energy Solution joint electric vehicle battery factory in Indonesia.
According to the company, the planned first batch shipments began on the 3rd and are scheduled to be carried out a total of four times by May 1st, while the second batch is expected to be sequentially completed from May to mid-June.
Previously, the first shipment of laser notching equipment was completed in March, and the final quality tests are currently underway for the second shipment scheduled around the end of April.
DA Technology is the only equipment partner of LG Energy Solution to hold a patent for jet stacking equipment. The technology, which stacks secondary battery materials such as cathodes and anodes in a zigzag pattern, is said to minimize swelling phenomena.
DA Technology stated that Hyundai Motor plans to strengthen its electric vehicle supply chain in response to the demand for electric vehicles in Indonesia, and the company expects additional equipment orders due to the expansion of production facilities. Furthermore, as Hyundai Motor is also discussing investment in a joint electric vehicle battery factory in the United States with LG Energy Solution, the company is putting all its resources into ensuring stable delivery of this equipment.
