Busan Office of Education Invites Korean Adoptees and Adoptive Families
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold an event titled "Invitation Event for Korean Adoptees and Adoptive Families" on the 12th at the International Conference Room of the Office's annex, targeting around 40 Korean adoptees and adoptive families.
This event is to celebrate the visit of Korean adoptees and adoptive families to Busan, jointly organized by the Korean Adoptee and Adoptive Family Foundation (KORAFF) and the Gangrim Cultural Foundation.
KORAFF is a "Korean Adoptee Foundation" that helps Korean adoptees and adoptive families find their roots in the Republic of Korea and establish their identity. This foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2010 with approval from the U.S. federal government.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education prepared this event to help the invitees cultivate their identity by providing opportunities to experience traditional Korean culture and community exchanges.
The event will proceed with congratulatory remarks from Superintendent Ha Yun-su, followed by performances of Korean folk songs such as Arirang and Kkwaejina Chingching Nane, and a mask dance experience program.
