The third-generation LG CLOi ServeBot, following the first generation in 2020 and the second generation in 2021, aims to be a "more reliable serving expert." It features six wheels with independent suspension, allowing it to stably navigate irregular store floor environments even when carrying liquid-containing foods such as gukbap, ramen, and beverages. It minimizes spillage caused by sudden stops, rapid starts, or vibrations. LiDAR sensors and 3D cameras recognize the space, and it can autonomously pass through automatic doors, greatly expanding its operating area. Without the need for an AP, communication between robots is possible, enabling stable simultaneous operation of more than 10 robots in the same space. It can run continuously for 11 hours on a full charge and introduces the first automatic/manual dual charging method for the LG CLOi ServeBot.
Compared to previous models (500·400mm), the tray (444·532mm) is larger and can hold up to 40kg. The tray height can be adjusted or removed to suit the store environment or delivery items. It can detect the tray's weight, and when customers remove food, it moves without pressing the start button. Conversely, when the tray is full of dishes, it automatically moves to the dish return area. A multipurpose pocket is provided for storing order-related tools such as menus, order sheets, bills, and writing instruments, and a manager-exclusive storage space suitable for table cleaning and organizing tools is also included. Additionally, an optional dedicated cup holder can be installed to safely serve beverages.
Equipped with CMS, content can be easily uploaded via a mobile app. Through a 10-inch display, it provides various promotional videos and menu guidance to waiting customers and escorts them to the table when a seat becomes available. It also supports the installation of Android applications in the desired form.
The third-generation LG CLOi ServeBot will be unveiled for the first time at the '2023 World IT Show,' opening on the 19th at COEX in Seoul.
