Song Si-kyung Appointed as Secretary General of the Korea Arts and Culture Committee
The Korea Arts & Culture Committee has appointed Mr. Song Si-kyung as the 7th Secretary General. He will begin his duties on the 10th, with a term of three years.
New Secretary General Song joined the Arts Committee in 1992 and has held positions such as Head of the Management Strategy Division, Head of the Arts Creation Division, and Head of the Arts Space Operations Division, earning high recognition for his deep understanding of the arts field and cultural arts administration.
The Arts Committee formed a Secretary General Recommendation Committee composed of internal and external experts. An open recruitment was conducted on February 17, and through document and interview evaluations, three candidates for Secretary General were recommended on the 20th of last month. Subsequently, the committee chair verified the capabilities of each candidate through individual interviews, and the final appointment was made after the committee's resolution on the 31st of last month.

Jung Byung-guk, Chairperson of the Arts Committee, stated, "By appointing the Secretary General from within the staff, we expect to stabilize the organization and faithfully perform the role of a bridge between the committee and the Secretariat."
