Now in its third year, this expo is regarded as the largest comprehensive festival event in the history of festival expos, gathering over 300 local governments and companies related to Korean festivals in one place.
It provides an opportunity not only to promote and experience regional representative festivals but also to hold buyer consultations and expert lectures, creating a platform for information exchange among related industries and local governments.
A B2B-style one-on-one consultation session was also held to promote regional representative festivals to general visitors.
At this expo, the county promoted the 9th ImsilN Cheese Festival and ImsilN Cheese through activities such as cheese stretching experiences, festival video screenings, and Peach character performances.
This year’s ImsilN Cheese Festival will be held from October 6 to October 9 at the Imsil Cheese Theme Park, Imsil Cheese Village, and the Imsil-eup area.
In line with the post-COVID-19 era, the county is dedicating efforts to prepare the ImsilN Cheese Festival by developing high-quality content tailored to new trends, organizing 76 programs across 10 themes to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival.
At the expo, various performances promoting Imsil-gun’s major tourist attractions such as Okjeongho Bungeo Island Ecological Park and Suspension Bridge, Imsil Cheese Theme Park, Seongsusan and Saseondae?known as the King’s Forest?and Osu Uigyeon Tourist Site attracted significant attention from visitors.
The ImsilN Cheese Cluster Business Group actively targeted consumers in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions by selling excellent dairy products such as ImsilN Cheese and yogurt, along with free tastings during the expo.
By operating delicious and fun cheese experience programs for visitors, it became an important opportunity to attract tourists and promote Imsil.
County Governor Shim Min said, “Participating in this Korea Representative Festival Expo not only promotes Imsil’s tourism resources linked with major tourist sites leading the era of ten million tourists in Imsil but also leads the festival culture of Korea.”
He added, “I hope this becomes a stepping stone for the festival to leap forward as a global festival renowned not only domestically but also worldwide.”
