Mayor Hong Nampyo: "Increase Work Efficiency
and Also Anticipate Budget Savings"
Starting with the first executive meeting in April, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam has pilot-introduced a 'paperless meeting' system.
This initiative was implemented with the aim of improving inefficient meeting practices such as preparing supplementary materials and saving the time and resources spent on printing materials, thereby creating an efficient work environment.
On the 7th, executives who used to attend meetings with printed handouts prepared weekly brought meeting materials in advance on electronic devices such as laptops and tablet PCs. They showed high concentration by moving away from simply reading reports to familiarizing themselves with the content beforehand and presenting it.

The plan is to supplement any issues arising during the implementation of 'paperless meetings' and to advance the operation method, eventually expanding it to various tea-time meetings, reporting sessions, and the overall work environment.
