Yongin City to Supply 160 'Purchased Rental Housing' Units for Housing-Vulnerable Groups
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting tenants for 160 purchased rental housing units to reduce the housing cost burden on low-income households and improve living conditions.
Purchased rental housing refers to multi-family houses and other properties bought by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation and offered at about 30% of the market price.
The contract period is two years, and tenants can live for up to 20 years if they meet the renewal requirements.
Eligibility for application is for members of non-homeowning households residing in Yongin City as of the tenant recruitment announcement date (April 5), with first priority given to ▲ recipients of livelihood and medical benefits ▲ legally recognized single-parent families ▲ households urgently needing housing support ▲ persons with disabilities with monthly average income below 70% of the standard by household size (KRW 3,018,496 for single-person households) ▲ and low-income elderly.
Second priority is given to those with monthly average income below 50% (KRW 2,347,719 for single-person households) and those below 100% (KRW 4,024,661 for single-person households) by household size.
Applications can be submitted at the administrative welfare center of the resident registration address from the 17th to the 19th of this month. Selected tenants will be individually notified by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation three months after the application date.
