Wildfire in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon... Extinguished in 1 Hour 30 Minutes
The wildfire that occurred in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province, on the afternoon of the 9th has been extinguished.
The wildfire, which broke out around 2:20 PM in Chang-ri, Mitan-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province, was put out within an hour and 30 minutes.
According to the forestry authorities, the main fire was extinguished around 3:30 PM with the deployment of four helicopters and 121 firefighters.
The wildfire site had a very dry humidity level of 14%, but fortunately, the fire did not spread widely due to weak winds blowing at about 2 meters per second.
