Sauvignon Blanc Chosen as 'Wine of the Month' by Employees in Their 20s
Young employees in their 20s are leading convenience store trends.
Convenience store GS25 announced on the 9th that the opinions proposed by the 'MD Supporters,' a group of employees in their 20s, are being actively reflected in new product development and event planning.
According to GS25, the MD Supporters suggested selecting wine event products through a blind test last month. As a result, a blind test was conducted on about 30 white wines, and seven types, including Grove Mill Sauvignon Blanc, were selected as the 'Wine of the Month.' The wines personally chosen by the employees in their 20s sold more than half of the prepared quantity within a week, with customers in their 20s and 30s accounting for about 80% of total sales.
GS25 also accepted the MD Supporters' opinion to expand rare liquors and decided to sell a limited quantity of 300 bottles of Ch?teau Talbot 2015 vintage this month, 720 bottles in June, and 1,200 bottles in August at liquor-specialized stores. Additionally, they plan to operate a dedicated display for Gordon & MacPhail and hold whiskey events on the 10th of every month.

GS25 analyzed that the ideas of young employees in their 20s accurately targeted the tastes of customers of the same generation and decided to further expand the activities of the MD Supporters. Ha Rim Lee, MD of the Beverage and Food Team at GS25, said, “We will continue to plan new product sourcing and events based on the fresh and creative ideas of young members and present them to customers.” [
