Suwon City Signs Business Agreement with Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center to Support Export Companies

View original imageThe city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is joining forces with the 'Gyeonggi FTA (Free Trade Agreement) Trade Promotion Center' to support the expansion of export opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the city.
On the 9th, Suwon City announced that it signed a 'Trade Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)' with the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center on the 7th at the city hall situation room.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will provide FTA trade education, consulting, and overseas marketing support to companies in the Suwon area. They will also support new trade initiatives such as non-tariff barriers and carbon border taxes, and share various export-related information.
Since its opening in February 2011, the center has received the highest score for 10 consecutive years in the 'Regional FTA Utilization Support Center Project Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The center offers ▲ comprehensive FTA consultations ▲ one-on-one FTA comprehensive consulting through company visits ▲ customized training for practitioners ▲ specialized education on overseas market management under FTAs ▲ and training for entry into regional online platforms (mainly for consumer goods companies).
Kang Kyung-sik, Director of the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center, promised, "We will actively cooperate with Suwon City's corporate support policies to help Suwon companies grow well," adding, "Starting with this agreement, we will strive for the development of both Suwon City and the center."

Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon City, expressed his expectations, saying, "Supporting existing companies so they do not leave is as important as attracting new businesses," and "Since one of the most needed things for many growing companies is to develop overseas sales channels, this agreement will provide great help."
