Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Attends the Opening Concert of the 2023 Traveling Orchestra 'Wolgye Cherry Blossom Concert'
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 'Wolgye Cherry Blossom Concert' held at the outdoor music hall of Yeomgwang High School in Nowon-gu, Seoul, at 4 p.m. on the 8th.
The Wolgye Cherry Blossom Concert is the opening performance marking the start of the '2023 Traveling Orchestra,' a touring concert project planned by the district to provide residents, weary from daily life, with various opportunities to enjoy culture. It allows people to appreciate high-quality classical music performed by an orchestra in everyday spaces.
The event was attended by Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, along with members of the National Assembly, city and district councilors, and about 800 residents. Following the opening performance by singer Yuri Sang-ja and the introduction of guests, performances proceeded in order by the Western Symphony Orchestra, saxophonist Kim Seong-hoon, and singer Ivy.

Mayor Oh said, “Through the traveling cultural performance project, I hope a happy energy and happiness virus, like the spring day, will spread among the residents,” adding, “Starting with the Wolgye Cherry Blossom Concert, the district’s representative festival, the 'Bulamsan Azalea Festival,' will also be held from next week, so I hope families enjoy it to the fullest.”
