The Ministry of Unification announced on the 7th that there was no opening call for the inter-Korean Joint Liaison Office.
An official from the Ministry of Unification stated via text message that "the opening call between the liaison offices at 9 a.m. this morning did not take place." The official added, "Since there were no issues found in the communication line on our side, we will monitor the situation, including the possibility of communication line problems on the North Korean side."
