"Do Not Jaywalk" ... A Man in His 50s Dies After Being Hit by a Truck in Changwon
At around 8:55 PM on the 6th, a 1-ton cargo truck traveling in the third lane of the four-lane Uichang-daero in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, struck a man in his 50s who was jaywalking, resulting in his death.
According to the police, the cargo truck hit Mr. A while driving straight from Uichang Intersection toward Metro Hospital.
Mr. A was transported to the hospital by the dispatched 119 ambulance team but ultimately passed away.
The driver, Mr. B, was reported not to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
