People Power Party's New Floor Leader, 'TK·3-term' Yoon Jae-ok (Update)
At the July 7th Members' Meeting, 65 out of 109 Members Secured Support
Yoon Jae-ok (3-term, Daegu Dalseo-eul) was elected as the new floor leader of the People Power Party on the 7th.
Yoon, the newly appointed floor leader, received the majority of votes with 65 out of 109 participating members supporting him at the party members' meeting held that day. Kim Hak-yong (Gyeonggi Anseong, 4-term), who competed in a two-person race, received 44 votes.
Yoon, who is from the TK region, emphasized "proven capability" in his press conference declaration and policy presentation to differentiate himself from Kim, who is from the Seoul metropolitan area.

Yoon is considered a "Pro-Yoon" (Pro-Yoon Seok-yeol) as he served as the situation room chief of the party's central election campaign headquarters during the last presidential election, closely assisting candidate Yoon Seok-yeol at that time.
