Joint Civic Group and Nationwide Citizen Guest Reception Campaign

Wando County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Shin Woo-cheol) launched a “Countywide Guest Reception Practice Campaign” two days before the opening of the 13th Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival held on the 6th, to ensure the successful hosting of the festival.

According to the county on the 7th, the “Countywide Guest Reception Practice Campaign” was established with the purpose of encouraging participation in kindness, cleanliness, and maintaining order, as large-scale events and festivals such as the Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival, Jangbogo Seafood Festival, Jeonnam Garden Festival, Jeonnam Sports Festival, and Disabled Sports Festival are being held consecutively.

On the 6th, the Wando County Prosperity Association and the Wando County Women’s Association held banners and placards at places such as Binggrae Park to promote the “Countywide Guest Reception Practice Campaign,” and until the 24th, 22 local institutions and social organizations along with the county will jointly carry out the campaign.

The detailed contents of the practice campaign include “maintaining order” such as basic order, traffic order, and stadium order; “cleanliness” such as practicing waste separation, removing illegal deposits, and making Wando clean; and “kindness” such as greeting with a smile, yielding first, and being courteous.

A county official said, “Many tourists are expected to visit our county starting this month,” and added, “We ask all residents to participate in making Wando a place people want to visit again.”

Meanwhile, on the 6th, a training session to improve courteous service was also conducted for restaurant workers.
