Gochang-gun Holds Practical Meeting to Discover National Budget Opportunities

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 7th that from the 5th to the 7th, a '2024~2025 National Budget Discovery Working Meeting' was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Governor Noh Hyung-soo to achieve the era of a 1 trillion won budget for Gochang-gun in the 8th local government administration.

The projects discovered by the county so far include 83 projects for 2024 and 49 projects for 2025, with a total project cost reaching 1.8 trillion won. The county is gathering various ideas to discover additional new projects beyond this.

The meeting was organized into the agriculture, fisheries, livestock, and forestry sectors; regional, economic, and SOC sectors; and culture, tourism, and sports sectors, with in-depth discussions in each sector to strengthen the rationale for securing national budget.

The county plans to develop a total of about 70 ideas into national budget projects, including 33 diverse ideas collected without limiting to the relevant departments and tasks to break down interdepartmental barriers, and 37 ideas received from expert advice.

Additionally, to reflect the projects discovered by this month into next year's national budget projects, the county plans to fully devote administrative efforts by closely cooperating with Jeollabuk-do and visiting the National Assembly and central government ministries.

Noh Hyung-soo, Deputy Governor of Gochang-gun, said, "All departments are doing their best to create a vibrant Gochang-gun in the era of a 1 trillion won budget," and added, "Since these projects were discovered through concentrated administrative efforts, we will continuously strive to ensure they are ultimately reflected as national budget projects."
