Honguendong Area Transformed into 119 Households through Redevelopment
On the 6th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government held the 2nd Urban and Architectural Joint Committee Delegated Subcommittee and announced on the 7th that it had amended and approved the designation and planning decision (draft) of the Hong-eun 8-1 District Unit Plan Area for 14-11 Hong-eun-dong, Seodaemun-gu.
The target site is adjacent to the Hong-eun 8 Regional Housing Association Project Site and the Hong-eun 13 Housing Redevelopment Project Site. It was promoted based on residents' proposals to induce harmonious and appropriate development with surrounding areas in aging and deteriorated residential areas.
Through the designation of the district unit plan area, a total of 119 apartment units will be newly constructed on the 4,508.98㎡ site, with buildings ranging from 4 basement floors to 17 above-ground floors. Among them, 8 units will be provided as public rental housing.

The city explained that this designation of the district unit plan area is expected to contribute to improving the residential environment and welfare of local residents, while also stabilizing housing for low-income residents through the supply of quality public housing.
