On the 6th, the Sacheon Maritime Police Station in Gyeongnam held the discharge and disbandment ceremony for the 416th conscripted police officers.
The Maritime Police conscripted police system began in 1971 with the first class of combat police officers and has played a key role in maritime security for 52 years. On this day, the last two conscripted police officers were discharged, marking the end of this system in history.
