20-Year-Old Man Arrested for Making Lewd Phone Calls to Cosmetics Store with Female Employees
A man in his 20s was arrested for making obscene phone calls to random stores.
The Jeonju Wansan Police Station in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 6th that they have arrested and sent to prosecution a man in his 20s, identified as A, on charges of making obscene calls using a communication medium under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
A is accused of making dozens of obscene phone calls over a period of about two months starting from January to cosmetic stores where women were likely to be working.
After receiving reports from the victims, the police began an investigation and tracked A’s mobile phone number, apprehending him recently in Jeonju.

A police official stated, "It appears the crime was committed without a clear reason," adding, "Considering the risk of recurrence, he was detained for investigation before being sent to prosecution."
