According to the Submarine Command, the tree-planting event was organized to raise soldiers' awareness of climate change and the importance of environmental conservation activities such as tree planting, and to pass on a green environment to future soldiers who will serve in the Submarine Command.
The Submarine Command plans to carry out environmental cleanup activities in addition to planting fruit tree saplings.
To ensure the saplings grow well and bear fruit in 4 to 5 years, commemorative plaques engraved with the species, planting date, and the name of the planting unit or department will be placed next to each sapling, encouraging each unit and department to take responsibility for their care.
