Yeonggwang-gun, 1st Supplementary Budget of 749.4 Billion Won Established... 93.8 Billion Won Increased

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do submitted a supplementary budget for the first additional budget this year amounting to 749.4 billion KRW, an increase of 93.8 billion KRW (14.3%) compared to the original budget of 655.6 billion KRW, to the Yeonggwang County Council.

According to the county on the 6th, the general account in this supplementary budget is 663.6 billion KRW, an increase of 72.3 billion KRW (12.22%) compared to the original budget of 591.3 billion KRW, and the special account (including public enterprise special accounts) is 85.8 billion KRW, an increase of 21.5 billion KRW (33.44%) compared to the original budget of 64.3 billion KRW.

The increase in expenditure budget by function in the first supplementary budget submitted by the county is allocated in the order of environment 74.8 billion KRW (increase of 17.9 billion KRW), land and regional development 82.6 billion KRW (increase of 17.7 billion KRW), agriculture, forestry, marine and fisheries 171.2 billion KRW (increase of 15.0 billion KRW), and culture and tourism 46.6 billion KRW (increase of 12.5 billion KRW).

Major increased projects include expansion of water and sewage facilities with 13.5 billion KRW, youth entrepreneurship and integrated childcare support center with 4.8 billion KRW, sports facilities in preparation for the Jeonnam Sports Festival with 4.2 billion KRW, support for issuing local love gift certificates (10% incentive) with 3.1 billion KRW, compensation for losses on rural bus remote routes with 2.9 billion KRW, establishment of a yellow croaker aquaculture industrialization center with 2.9 billion KRW, installation of agricultural machinery rental office (Dongbu branch) with 2.7 billion KRW, creation of a public parking lot for freight trucks with 2.6 billion KRW, and waste treatment facilities at the environmental management center with 2.3 billion KRW.

County Governor Kang Jong-man said, “We prioritized the budget for expanding living infrastructure that can revive the stagnant local economy, stabilize residents’ lives, and resolve inconveniences for residents,” and added, “Once the budget is finalized, we will promptly execute the planned projects without delay.”

Meanwhile, this supplementary budget will be finalized at the plenary session on the 18th after deliberation at the 271st Yeonggwang County Council extraordinary session held until the 18th.
