Conduct '4-Week Project to Boost Financial Knowledge'
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 6th that it will operate a 4-week financial knowledge enrichment project called ‘Podongpodong Financial Classroom’ in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch to enhance the financial capabilities of local youth and support their career exploration.
The 4-week financial knowledge enrichment project is conducted on various topics related to finance to help youth in economic clubs who aspire to careers in the financial sector find their dreams and goals.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank will jointly operate the Podongpodong Financial Classroom with the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch.

On the 4th, the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch met with youth for the first session under the theme ‘Finance and Voice Phishing Prevention,’ and on the 11th, 18th, and 25th, education will be conducted respectively on the themes of ‘Insurance and Savings,’ ‘Basics of Investment,’ and ‘Careers in the Financial Sector.’
Kim Yangsuk, Executive Director and Chief Consumer Officer (CCO) in charge of financial consumer protection, said, “The 4-week financial knowledge enrichment project will be a meaningful time for youth aspiring to careers in the financial sector. BNK Gyeongnam Bank will continuously discover and support local residents in need of financial education.”
Park Jungsu, Director of the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch, stated, “We will deliver content that is easy to understand and highly helpful for youth interested in economics and finance in their daily lives and financial career paths. In the future, we plan to promote various financial education programs targeting not only youth but also job seekers, the elderly, and people with disabilities, who are financially vulnerable groups in the region.”
