According to the city on the 6th, Songdo International City, the Open Port Area, and Wolmido in Incheon were selected last September as the country's first specialized nighttime tourism cities, and various specialized nighttime tourism projects will be promoted until 2025.
The opening event will be a multimedia drone show next month.
Starting on the 3rd, and again on the 13th, 17th, and 27th, the drone show will take place four times over, set against the waterways and sky of Songdo Central Park. It will feature about 500 drones in a fireworks drone show, water drones, and water stage performances, offering tourists an unforgettable night.
On the 17th, in conjunction with the '2023 Korea Drone and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Expo,' a music performance featuring about 1,000 drones will be held. Busking performances will also take place simultaneously throughout Songdo, the Open Port Area, and Wolmido.
On the 27th at Songdo Central Park, a special program called 'Songdo Marble Walk' will be held, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of the night view while walking.
The city is also operating 'Chefood Bushelling,' a moving dining experience on a double-decker bus, in connection with the specialized nighttime tourism city, running from this month through June.
Chefood Bushelling is a unique restaurant by Lotte Wellfood where guests can enjoy fine dining inside a double-decker bus while taking in the city’s nightscape and various performances.
Season 1 was operated in Seoul from last November to January this year, drawing great interest as reservations sold out immediately upon opening. Season 2 will be held in Incheon, the first specialized nighttime tourism city, allowing guests to enjoy fine dining while admiring the beautiful night view.
From the 25th of this month to June 25th, it will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays with lunch and dinner sessions. Starting from Cheongna International City Station, the route passes through Cheongna Lake Park to Central Park, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenery from the moving bus and experience a unique combination of dining and performances.
