Daejeon City Provides Full Support for Replacing Engines of Aging Construction Machinery
Daejeon City announced on the 6th that it will fully support the costs of engine replacement and diesel particulate filter installation for old construction machinery registered in the region.
The support targets construction machinery registered in Daejeon that have not participated in the emission reduction project with government subsidies.
The city plans to support engine replacement for 155 units and diesel particulate filter installation for 2 units. Engine replacement support is available when replacing engines of old forklifts, excavators, loaders, and rollers equipped with engines meeting emission standards before 2004 (Tier 1 or lower) with engines of Tier 3 or higher.
Construction machinery engines manufactured before 2004 are eligible for support regardless of power output conditions. Construction machinery with engine power between 75 kW and less than 130 kW must have been manufactured before 2005, and those with less than 75 kW must have been manufactured before 2006 to be eligible.
The cost support for diesel particulate filter installation targets old dump trucks registered in Daejeon that meet emission standards applied before 2005.
Applications can be made starting today (the 6th) directly by vehicle owners on the automobile emission website. After being selected as a final recipient, applicants will be assigned a device manufacturer to proceed with engine replacement and diesel particulate filter installation.
Support recipients will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis as of the application submission date, and the project may end early if the budget is exhausted.
