Gyeonggi-do Conducts Safety Inspections on Residential Development and Public Housing Districts... 92 Cases Corrected
Gyeonggi Province corrected 92 cases through safety inspections of housing development and public housing districts.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it conducted on-site inspections of 27 housing development districts and public housing districts in the province from February 27 to March 15 to prevent safety accidents during the thawing season, identifying and correcting 92 cases.
The inspection was conducted in a two-step process: first, the project implementers or construction companies conducted their own initial inspections, and then based on those results, Gyeonggi Province, the project implementers, and private experts jointly carried out a second inspection.
Of the 92 cases, 50 that required emergency measures or corrections were addressed on-site by the end of March. The remaining 42 cases are scheduled to have safety measures completed by the end of June.
The most frequent issue was insufficient slope safety assurance, accounting for 36 cases.
At site A, a 3 to 4-meter-high cut slope was exposed unstably, raising concerns about collapse, so supplementary measures were taken. At site B, potholes were found on roads within the district and were addressed after a detailed investigation.
