Cobra Golf was founded in 1973 by club designer and former Australian amateur golf champion Thomas Crow. In 1975, it launched the world's first hybrid club, the 'Baffler.' Subsequently, in 1979, it introduced a 46-inch driver equipped with a graphite shaft, and in 1989, it released a graphite shaft compressed and hardened using the autoclave system.
