Practice Round Three Days Before the Masters
Participation in the Masters Confirmed
Tiger Woods (USA) was spotted practicing at Augusta National Golf Club, the venue of the Masters, three days before the tournament's opening.
On the 2nd (local time), multiple American golf media outlets reported that Woods appeared at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA, the site of the Masters, and practiced. According to reports, Woods entered the practice range around 3 p.m. local time with his caddie Joe LaCava and friend Rob McNamara. Afterwards, he greeted and conversed with Jason Day (Australia) and then hit balls for about 30 minutes. Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, was also seen stopping by the practice range to greet Woods.
This is interpreted as a sign that Woods is confirmed to participate in the Masters, which opens on the 6th. Woods has already expressed his intention to attend the official press conference for the main players of the opening match.
