Haenam-gun Supports Fishery Village Settlement with Startup and Housing Purchase Funds for Returning Fishermen
Up to 300 Million KRW, 75 Million KRW Housing Purchase Fund at 2% Annual Interest Rate
Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, supports loans for start-up and housing purchase funds to help urban residents who wish to return to fishing villages settle stably in fishing communities.
According to the county on the 30th, the project targets are fishermen returning to fishing (including hopefuls) or residents engaged in non-fishing occupations in fishing villages who are under 65 years old and must meet all requirements such as migration period, residence period, and completion of return-to-fishing education.
They can receive support for start-up funds up to 300 million KRW and housing purchase funds up to 75 million KRW at an annual interest rate of 2% (5 years grace period, 10 years installment repayment).
The application deadline is until the 28th of next month. Applicants must fill out the project application form announced on the Haenam-gun Office website and submit it with the required documents through the local eup/myeon office of their residence.

A county official said, “We will continue to provide policy funds necessary for business management such as fisheries and housing purchase, as well as various support for returnees to fishing, to ensure the stable settlement of urban residents wishing to return to fishing.”
