[Breaking] National Assembly Passes Plenary Vote on Arrest Warrant for Rep. Ha Young-je
The arrest consent bill for Ha Young-je, a member of the People Power Party, who has been indicted on charges of violating the Political Funds Act, was passed on the 30th.
In the vote held at the National Assembly plenary session that day, out of 281 votes, 160 were in favor, 99 against, and 22 abstentions, showing that the majority of attending members approved.

Rep. Ha is accused of receiving 70 million won from a preliminary candidate for the Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly election last year in exchange for helping with the candidate's nomination, and a total of 57.5 million won from local government heads and aides under the pretext of operating expenses for regional offices.
