IBK Investment & Securities Appoints Seo Jeong-hak as New CEO
On the 29th, IBK Investment & Securities held its regular shareholders' meeting and board of directors meeting at its headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and appointed Seo Jeong-hak (60) as the new CEO.
CEO Seo graduated from Kyungseong High School and Dongguk University with a degree in English Literature, and joined Industrial Bank of Korea in 1989. He served as head of IB Support Department, head of Technology Finance Department, IT Group Leader, Global and Capital Markets Group Leader, and CIB Group Leader after working at IBK's Singapore and New York branches. Since 2021, he has been serving as the president of IBK Savings Bank.

In his inaugural speech, CEO Seo stated, "As the only securities company affiliated with a government policy bank in Korea, we will transform into a securities firm that meets the needs of the public and small and medium-sized enterprises. We will create mutually beneficial and sustainable synergy by adding the specialized capabilities of Investment & Securities to the IBK Financial Group network."
