The mobile odor measurement vehicle is equipped with odor collection devices, odor measurement instruments, and meteorological measurement equipment.
This vehicle can measure odor concentration in real time while moving, and the measured odor levels can be analyzed through on-site monitoring and sample collection.
The city plans to operate an odor response team using the mobile odor measurement vehicle and will recruit six fixed-term public officials with flexible working hours to minimize gaps in odor complaint responses outside regular working hours.
The odor response team will operate a thorough odor monitoring system through environmental patrols during daytime, nighttime, and weekends, and will immediately respond to complaints by dispatching personnel to the site when odor complaints occur.
Additionally, depending on the situation, odors collected using the vehicle-mounted collection devices will be used to impose strong administrative measures on businesses violating odor emission standards.
A city official stated, “The odor response team will take immediate action to resolve issues whenever odor complaints are received during nighttime and weekends. We will do our best to prevent damage to residents caused by odors through regular patrols and management.”
