Samsung Whiteboard App Compatible with PC Released
Samsung Electronics will participate in 'Bett 2023,' the largest education technology exhibition in Europe, held in London, UK, from the 29th to the 31st (local time), launching a full-scale attack on the education market.
Bett (British Educational Training and Technology) is an education technology exhibition attended by more than 30,000 education professionals from over 600 companies across 120 countries. Samsung Electronics will unveil its new 2023 electronic whiteboard model and the Samsung Whiteboard app.
The 2023 electronic whiteboard (model name: WAC) showcased by Samsung Electronics at this exhibition is a new product equipped with the Android operating system. It is an interactive display that allows teachers and students to conduct interactive classes using the electronic whiteboard, mobile devices, tablets, and PCs. Teachers can share screens of handwritten notes, photos, videos, and applications directly on the electronic whiteboard with students, creating the effect as if each student has their own individual whiteboard for learning.
The 2023 electronic whiteboard lineup includes three large sizes: 65, 75, and 86 inches. All solutions embedded in the product provide UHD high-definition graphic resolution, delivering clear lessons and writing. It supports up to 20-point multi-touch using not only a dedicated pen but also regular pens, recognizing subtle thickness differences depending on the type of writing instrument to draw lines thin or thick.
In addition, it maximizes user convenience by enhancing smart learning features such as ▲ a USB-C port capable of charging up to 65W ▲ simultaneous wireless connection of up to nine IT devices ▲ HDMI Out for screen mirroring in large screen environments like auditoriums ▲ PIP (Picture in Picture) and PBP (Picture By Picture) ▲ multi-window that allows multiple windows to be opened simultaneously ▲ front high-quality stereo speakers ▲ dedicated pen and magnetic pen holder.
The 2023 electronic whiteboard offers a comfortable visual environment with a large screen size and optimized multitasking functions. Multitasking allows simultaneous use of various applications such as writing, internet access, document work, and video viewing, providing a more efficient and systematic educational environment. Through the dedicated DMS function, electronic whiteboards in classrooms can be remotely monitored and controlled, and an emergency alert function is also provided to send warning messages collectively on the screen in case of emergencies.
Reflecting the needs of the education market that requires connection with various devices, Samsung Electronics also newly introduces the Samsung Whiteboard app, which provides a seamless educational environment at this exhibition. The Samsung Whiteboard app allows users to bring their PC screen to the electronic whiteboard, write on it, and share in real time. During video conferences, handwritten content can be delivered in real time to the other party’s PC screen. User convenience is enhanced by allowing frequently used PC content or applications to be easily accessed on the electronic whiteboard through a dedicated UI.
