Naver Cloud will receive foreign language tourism information accumulated over more than 20 years from the organization’s 'VISITKOREA' foreign language site (in 8 languages) to innovate in the tourism service sector. Naver Cloud plans to support various technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and APIs. First, it will implement tourist spot search functions, tourist spot information, and navigation through Naver Maps on the Korea Tourism Integrated Platform scheduled to open in the first half of this year.
In the future, Naver Cloud’s ultra-large-scale AI hypercloud technology will also be integrated. Through 'Clova Studio,' which allows the use of HyperClova, it will provide useful services such as personalized multilingual tourist spot information, real-time chat for travel itinerary planning, and Q&A about travel.
The two companies plan to continuously discuss and expand the scope of cooperation to improve tourism services by utilizing Team Naver’s core technologies such as cloud, Clova, Papago, and Maps, including enhancing foreign language services on the Korea Tourism Integrated Platform, promoting the ‘2023-2024 Visit Korea Year,’ and strengthening smart tourism city infrastructure.
