He also promised to attract 100 trillion won in domestic and foreign corporate investments to Gyeonggi Province during his term. Regarding the recent Constitutional Court decision on the "Prosecutorial Investigation Authority Reform Act," he advised that the Yoon Seok-yeol administration's harsh criticism is "inappropriate."
On the 27th at 2 p.m., Governor Kim held a meeting with reporters in the large conference room on the 4th floor of Gwanggyo Technovalley in Yeongtong, Suwon, and later introduced through his social networking service (SNS), "I met openly with journalists covering the Gyeonggi Provincial Government," adding, "Instead of standing on the briefing room podium, we sat around in the 4th-floor meeting room and exchanged questions and answers on various current issues."
He continued, "There are a few things I remember from today's conversation," and said, "When asked what the most urgent issue is (by a reporter), I answered 'youth employment.'"
In particular, he said, "Our youth are facing the dual hardships of 'underemployment' and 'overwork,' which no previous generation has experienced," and added, "To create more opportunities, more equitable opportunities, and better opportunities for our youth, I introduced three directions and promised swift implementation."
Furthermore, he promised, "We will promote policies to alleviate current difficulties such as the 'Youth Ladder Finance' loan policy and the expansion of 'interview allowances,' while also providing broad training opportunities at foreign universities and domestic and international companies through programs like 'Youth Ladder' and 'Gap Year' to help develop future capabilities."
He added, "To create more job opportunities for youth, we will enhance economic dynamism by attracting investments exceeding 100 trillion won during my term."
Governor Kim said, "There were also questions about the recent Constitutional Court decision on the 'Prosecutorial Investigation Authority Reform Act' and the ensuing disputes between the government and political circles," and pointed out, "The ruling party, especially President Yoon Seok-yeol, who has advocated for the protection of constitutional values since his candidacy, should not harshly criticize the Constitutional Court, the last bastion of constitutional protection, for its ruling. Such criticism is highly inappropriate."
