Wando-gun, First and Second Top Donors of Hometown Love Donation Fund Emerge
Donations Continue from Eupmyeon Hometown Associations During Policy Talk
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that Lee Jeong-ok, CEO of Samjeon Construction Co., Ltd., and Yang Young-hoon, Director of Sinhwa Technology Co., Ltd., each donated 5 million KRW, the highest annual amount for the Hometown Love Donation Fund.
Yang Young-hoon, head of Shinhwa Technology Co., Ltd., donated 5 million won, the highest amount for hometown love donations, to Wando County.

Lee Jeong-ok, who serves as the president of the Bogil-myeon Jaegwang Alumni Association, became the first highest donor by contributing 5 million KRW during the ‘2023 County Residents’ Happiness Policy Talk’ held in Bogil-myeon on the 22nd of last month, expressing hopes for better achievements in his hometown Wando.
The second highest donor, Director Yang Young-hoon, personally visited Wando County Office from Naju City on the 20th and donated 5 million KRW.
Originally from Cheongsan-myeon, Director Yang said, “It is meaningful to have the opportunity to contribute to my hometown Wando, where my father and family reside.”
Additionally, following the policy talk, many alumni and hometown supporters joined the Hometown Love Donation Fund, including Bang Gwang-su, president of the Wando-eup Jaegyeong Alumni Association; Seo Jeong-hee, president of the Jaegwang Alumni Association; hometown members from Geumil-eup; Yang Gwang-yong, chairman of the Yaksan Education and Culture Foundation in Yaksan-myeon; members of the Cheongsan-myeon Jaegyeong Alumni Association; Chae Dong-gang from Saengil-myeon; and the family of singer Gummy from Geumdang-myeon.
A county official expressed deep gratitude for the continued love for Wando through the Hometown Love Donation Fund, stating, “We will use the donations carefully so that many supporters of Wando’s development can feel rewarded,” and urged ongoing interest for the stable establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System.
