The launch ceremony of the ‘Busan Restaurant Industry Association 2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Promotion Council’ will be held on the 23rd at 3:30 PM in the basement first floor of Yeonje District Office, in the Citizen Hall.
The ‘Busan Restaurant Industry Association 2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Promotion Council’ (hereinafter referred to as the Promotion Council) is chaired by Kang In-jung, president of the Busan Restaurant Industry Association, with the heads of 16 district and county branches attending as members.
It was organized under the leadership of the Korea Restaurant Industry Central Association Busan Branch (hereinafter referred to as the Busan Restaurant Industry Association) to create a city-wide welcoming atmosphere and spread enthusiasm for hosting in preparation for the on-site inspection by the International Bureau of Expositions scheduled from April 2 to 7.
Prior to this launch ceremony, the restaurant industry branches in each district and county have been working to gather and spread the city-wide enthusiasm for hosting by holding midnight resolution meetings praying for kindness, cleanliness, and the successful hosting of the 2030 Busan World Expo in conjunction with regular general meetings.
Today’s launch ceremony not only marks the start of the Promotion Council that will consolidate the capabilities of these 16 district and county branches but also serves as a pledge to fully respond to the upcoming on-site inspection by the International Bureau of Expositions, which is just two weeks away.
The ceremony will be attended by Chairman Kang In-jung, the heads of the 16 district and county branches who are members, and about 300 restaurant operators, featuring a declaration of resolution and a performance promoting the hosting of the 2030 Busan World Expo in Busan. Through this, the restaurant industry’s passion and determination for hosting the World Expo in Busan will be conveyed.
Following this launch, the Promotion Council plans to distribute 2030 World Expo Busan hosting stickers to be attached to businesses and conduct signature campaigns praying for hosting. Until the hosting site is announced at the end of this year, they will contribute to raising city-wide awareness and spreading consensus for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
To support the promotional activities of the Promotion Council, the city plans to distribute about 1.5 million paper table setting sheets promoting the ‘2030 Busan World Expo Hosting’ to over 3,000 multi-use restaurants around Gimhae Airport, tourist sites, and food streets by March 31.
