Audi New Electric Vehicle Under Final Refinement in Europe's Extreme Cold Region
Audi announced on the 21st that it is testing a prototype of the new electric vehicle Q6 e-tron in the northernmost region of Europe.
The new car, one of the future mass production model series, is the first Audi model introduced based on the premium platform electric (PPE) technology platform. It features an 800V electric system, electric motor, battery and charging management system, and a newly developed electronic architecture. Audi described it as "an important model toward electrification and digitalization."
The brand plans to launch more than 20 new cars, including over 10 pure electric vehicles, by 2025. The Q6 e-tron will be produced at the Ingolstadt plant, the German headquarters, as the starting point for upcoming new models. It will be available in SUV and Sportback versions.
Markus Duesmann, CEO of Audi AG, said, "We are fully focused on systematically advancing sustainability, product digitalization, and electrification."
