NearsLab Accelerates Entry into North American Autonomous Flight Drone Market
Global Energy Company BP Subsidiary and North America Business Partnership
Autonomous flight drone solution startup NearsLab (CEO Choi Jae-hyuk) announced on the 21st that it will participate in 'BLADE USA 2023,' the largest wind turbine blade-related conference in North America.
At this conference, NearsLab will present the innovations brought by autonomous flight drones in the field of wind turbine safety inspections. This is to share the expertise gained from wind turbine blade inspections with stakeholders in the North American region. In particular, they will introduce a method to solve safety inspections in areas where it has been difficult to dispatch industrial drones and professionals due to customs or security issues, through the mobile app 'NearsWind Mobile,' which enables autonomous flight drones without additional sensors.
NearsLab has also formed a partnership with the global company ONYX Insight to strengthen cooperation in the North American region. ONYX Insight, a subsidiary of the global energy company BP, is a data-driven predictive maintenance specialist that excels in wind turbine safety inspections. Since NearsLab possesses blade safety inspection technology, the partnership between the two companies is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and reliability of safety inspections for key wind turbine equipment.
