Daesang Cheongjeongwon Launches 3 New 'Anjuya Meoktae' Snack Products Riding the Popularity Wave
Daesang announced on the 21st that Cheongjeongwon will launch a new product in the 'Anjuya (夜) Meoktae Yeolpung' series.

The new products come in three flavors: 'Soy Sauce Teriyaki,' 'Seasoned Chicken,' and 'Grilled Corn.' Since the launch of Anjuya Meoktae Yeolpung in March last year, it surpassed 1 million units sold in just over 120 days and has recorded sales of over 2 million units in less than a year, gaining great popularity. With the release of these three new flavors, the lineup now includes a total of six varieties, adding to the existing 'Sweet Honey,' 'Spicy Fire Chicken,' and 'Cheongyang Teriyaki' flavors. The Soy Sauce Teriyaki flavor features a savory and umami taste with Anjuya’s special soy sauce teriyaki. The Seasoned Chicken flavor is coated with seasoned chicken sauce, delivering an addictive sweet and spicy taste, while the Grilled Corn flavor uses grilled corn sauce to bring out a nutty and sweet flavor.
Meoktae Yeolpung is a snack-style anju (drinking snack) that reinterprets meoktae, a grilled dried pollack snack popular as a beer accompaniment in the 70s and 80s, to fit the newtro trend. Using Anjuya’s unique know-how, thick dried pollack, well-dried in the winter wind, is baked in selected hot air to achieve a crispy texture. The product is cut into bite-sized pieces and coated with sauce before being oven-baked, allowing it to be enjoyed simply without additional sauce. Each 25g pack contains 16 to 20g of protein, equivalent to three boiled eggs, making it not only a great drinking snack but also a nutritious snack.
