All Executives Sign 'Department Head Responsibility Management Contract'
Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the morning of the 20th that it signed the '2023 Department Head Responsibility Management Contract' with 38 executives across the company, including heads of major business departments and regional headquarters, at its Daejeon headquarters.

View original imageThe responsibility management contract is implemented to set goals for each department and evaluate performance to enhance management efficiency. KORAIL establishes specialized indicators for each business annually, signs contracts, guarantees the authority and responsibility of department heads, and strengthens autonomy.
In this year's responsibility management contract, KORAIL reflected management goals to enhance the implementation of national policy tasks, including △establishing an absolute safety system by thoroughly adhering to the basics △establishing work discipline △rational labor-management relations △management improvement.
As detailed execution strategies, KORAIL will promote the establishment of a prevention-centered safety management system, such as continuous expansion of safety infrastructure to ensure the safety of the public and employees, and advancement of maintenance technologies.
Additionally, KORAIL plans to improve management through demand-centered aggressive marketing and expansion of overseas projects, and faithfully implement public institution innovation plans such as reducing unnecessary expenses.
