The late former President Jeon Du-hwan's grandson, Jeon Woo-won, partially revealed a KakaoTalk message he received from Mrs. Lee Soon-ja after raising suspicions of family corruption. Mrs. Lee expressed her apologies to Woo-won and tried to persuade him to return to Korea.

View original imageOn the morning of the 16th, Woo-won stated through his personal YouTube broadcast that he was contacted via KakaoTalk by Mrs. Lee after raising suspicions of slush funds and other family corruption. He shared part of the KakaoTalk message from Mrs. Lee, which said, "Come back. Please, to grandma's arms. This grandma also has stage 2 breast cancer, so I don't know how long I can live."
Woo-won said he did not respond to Mrs. Lee's persuasion. He also mentioned receiving messages from other family members urging him to "come back to Korea," but stated, "I don't think I will voluntarily go to Korea for the time being." Woo-won added, "These are people who did not even send a single message of concern when I attempted an extreme act and was hospitalized for ten days at the end of last year," and said, "It gave me chills."

Earlier, Woo-won claimed on social media that a screen golf facility was installed inside Jeon Du-hwan's residence in Yeonhui-dong and posted related videos. The video showed an elderly woman, presumed to be Mrs. Lee, enjoying golf. Woo-won clarified on the day, "It is grandma," and "The photo was taken a few years ago."
