According to Yonhap News on the 16th, a complaint has been filed alleging that middle school students in the Chungbuk region sexually assaulted a female peer and recorded a video of the incident, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Jincheon Office of Education, the school became aware of the sexual violence involving a 13-year-old middle school student, A, and reported it to the police following the school violence manual. A's parents also filed a complaint with a police station in the Daejeon area, stating that their daughter was sexually assaulted by several classmates. The case is currently being investigated by the Cheongju Heungdeok Police Station, which took over the investigation.

Students attending school in Cheongju are suspected of luring A to a motel in Cheongju last month, sexually assaulting her, and recording the incident on a mobile phone. The victim is receiving inpatient treatment due to psychological trauma.
The police plan to conduct an investigation with the victim once she regains psychological stability and is discharged from the hospital. They also intend to verify whether there was any physical assault or abuse of power by the perpetrators.
A representative from the Jincheon Office of Education stated, "The school reported the sexual violence case, separated the perpetrators and the victim, and then requested a police investigation. Since the perpetrators' statements contradict the victim's, a school violence review committee will be held to ascertain the exact circumstances."
