On the 17th, Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, will participate in the "Korea-Japan Business Roundtable" event attended by key economic figures from both countries, including President Yoon Suk-yeol.
The Federation will dispatch a delegation of small and medium-sized enterprise representatives from various industries. They will hold meetings with Toshihiro Nikai (二階俊博, Liberal Democratic Party) of the House of Representatives and the Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Agency to discuss ways to promote talent and technology exchange between the two countries.
Known as a prominent pro-Korea figure, Representative Nikai has served three terms as Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and has contributed to expanding exchange and cooperation between the economic sectors of both countries, including SMEs, as well as fostering goodwill.
Since the two countries recently reached an agreement to improve relations, the Federation plans to expand private-sector exchanges. It will actively support Korean SMEs entering the Japanese market by holding seven exhibitions in Japan within this year.
