Yeongsangang Regional Environmental Office Holds Meeting with River Construction Officials
On the 14th, the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office held a meeting at the field office in Gokseong for those involved in the national river construction sites of the Yeongsangang and Seomjingang river systems.
The meeting was attended by about 50 people, including contractors, construction project management teams, and construction supervisors, and proceeded in the order of financial execution status, strengthening site safety and quality management, and listening to site difficulties.
They shared measures such as encouraging advance payments and progress payments to revitalize the local economy, safety management systems including smart safety equipment at construction sites and hazardous process work permit systems in preparation for the thawing season, step-by-step actions for construction accidents, and major construction safety accident cases.
The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office plans to continuously conduct education and safety inspections for construction personnel to prevent industrial accidents and other safety incidents following the enactment of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, managing the sites to ensure that not a single safety accident occurs.
