According to Gyeongnam Province on the 13th, this scholarship fund totals 500 million KRW and will be awarded to 250 students, with 2 million KRW per person.
The funds come from interest income of the scholarship fund donated by BNK Gyeongnam Bank, a 300 million KRW donation from NH Nonghyup Bank, and a 100 million KRW donation from the Gyeongnam Regional Development Council.
The scholarship support is promoted to help university entrants who graduated from high schools in the province maintain a stable life and to nurture local talents who will play a pivotal role in regional community development.
Applicants must have a guardian who has resided in the province for at least one year as of the announcement date to be eligible.

The income screening criteria require applicants to be from households with recognized income at or below 70% of the median income, who were beneficiaries of the 2022 Gyeongsangnam-do education support project, or belong to legally defined low-income groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty class, single-parent families, or those eligible for elementary, middle, and high school tuition support.
Applications for the scholarship can be submitted at the nearest eup/myeon/dong community service center from the 13th to the 31st of this month.
