Jungjinkong, Fostering SME Talent with 'HRD Diagnostic Model'
Development of 144 Customized Competency Models for SMEs by Industry, Business Duration, and Scale
The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 12th that it has developed a Human Resource Development (HRD) diagnostic model to support the establishment of an HRD roadmap for systematic talent development in small and medium-sized ventures.
Since September last year, SBC has collaborated with a group of HRD experts for four months to develop 144 standardized HRD competency models for small and medium-sized ventures, reflecting industry type, business age, and employee size.
The HRD diagnosis involves conducting surveys targeting executives, managers, and employees of small and medium-sized ventures to preliminarily investigate the current status of corporate HRD. Experts then assess the HRD level and necessary competencies on-site and present diagnostic results such as recommendations for common, rank-specific, and job-specific training courses, education plan establishment, and HRD roadmap development.
As a result of a pilot HRD diagnostic project conducted last year with 20 companies, 95.6% of participating companies responded that they would utilize the diagnostic results to establish their education plans for the following year. This year, the support scale is planned to expand to 40 companies.
The support targets are small and medium-sized ventures engaged in manufacturing, IT, wholesale, and service industries with a regular workforce of 30 or more but fewer than 300 employees. The scope of support will be expanded once the project stabilizes.
