The speed of wildfire suppression in Hwagae-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongnam is slowing down due to fog and smoke.
According to the forestry authorities on the 12th, 28 firefighting helicopters were scheduled to be deployed at 6:47 a.m. with the sunrise, but thick fog mixed with smoke is causing delays in the suppression efforts.
The authorities plan to deploy helicopters to accelerate wildfire suppression once it is deemed safe.
As of 7 a.m., the wildfire suppression rate is 63%, the affected area is 91 hectares, and about 1.7 km of the total 4.6 km fire line remains.
