Cheil Worldwide Wins 3 Grand Prix Awards at Spikes Asia
Selected as Korea's Agency of the Year
Cheil Worldwide announced on the 10th that it won 12 main awards at 'Spikes Asia 2023,' the leading advertising festival in the Asia-Pacific region, including 3 Grand Prix, 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 3 Bronze awards. Winning 3 Grand Prix awards is the highest number ever achieved by a Korean company.
In the special award category that selects the company with the best performance by region, Cheil Worldwide headquarters was honored as 'Korea's Agency of the Year,' ranking second among advertising companies in the Asia-Pacific region. The Hong Kong branch was also selected as Hong Kong's Agency of the Year.
The 'Ddokddok' campaign, conducted by Cheil Worldwide and the National Police Agency, achieved outstanding results by winning 3 Grand Prix awards in the Media, Mobile, and Glass categories. Ddokddok is a silent 112 emergency call campaign that allows people to request police assistance in situations where verbal reporting is difficult. After the caller dials 112 and taps any number button quietly, indicating a difficult-to-speak situation, a connection link is sent to the caller's mobile phone, enabling optimal initial response through functions such as live video transmission from the scene, location tracking, and secret chat. The campaign was planned based on the fact that victims of domestic violence, dating violence, and child abuse are often in the same space as the perpetrator, which restricts their ability to make 112 emergency calls.
