Extension of Public Participation Recruitment for Suncheon Garden Expo Opening Ceremony
Applications open until the 13th, recruiting 3,000 people
National invitation to the opening ceremony held at the 'Garden on Water'
The Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Organizing Committee (Chairman Noh Kwan-gyu, Mayor of Suncheon) announced on March 31 that the recruitment of the public participation group for the opening ceremony of the "2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo," held on the special floating stage "Garden on the Water" at Dongcheon, has been extended until the 13th.
Anyone who is a citizen can apply, and the organizing committee plans to select a final group of 3,000 invited participants by accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis while balancing participants by region.
The final selected public invitees will be able to fully enjoy the vivid opening ceremony (pre-ceremony performances, theme performances, and congratulatory performances) from the viewing seats prepared on Green Island adjacent to the special floating stage of the opening ceremony.
Those wishing to participate can download the application form and personal information consent form from the 2023 Garden Expo website under Expo News - Notices, fill them out, and submit them via email.
An official from the organizing committee stated, "We are also preparing a special opening concert featuring Korea's top MCs (Yoon Si-yoon, Jung Chae-yeon), as well as Jo Sumi, Park Jung-hyun, STAYC, and Proudmon," adding, "We ask for your great interest and participation."
Meanwhile, the special floating stage for the opening ceremony boasts the largest scale, measuring 160 meters wide, 45 meters long, and 25 meters high, which is 60 meters longer than a soccer field. The opening ceremony will feature advanced media art, a theme performance with 250 performers, and a special opening concert.
